Health and Armor

In Hellbringer, health points and armor work a little differently from other games of this genre.

As in all RPG games, health points define the amount to be reached in order to eliminate a target. However, in Hellbringer, health never decreases due to damage from an attack. If the sum of the damage is equal to or greater, then target is eliminated.

As for armor, it always adds to health and thus increases the required amount of damage before elimination. However, armor is often subject to being reduced or ignored altogether due to certain effects.

Almost all of the calculations in Hellbringer are optimized to be multiples of 5. This greatly reduces the calculation time to improve the speed and pace of the game.

These mechanics avoid noting the health points of each player and creature, in addition to quickly and efficiently calculating health points, armor and damage.
